Nitya Sara working on a Mandorla wall sculpture in her studio

“At the edge of a serious illness, I turned inward.

There, I encountered the parts of myself in exile— and the mandorla. Two circles. A field of union. A portal. Through it, I returned to myself.”

— Nitya Sara

Nitya Sara is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the interplay between the tangible and the ethereal. Rooted in intuition and visual storytelling, her work emerges through a contemplative process.

In her Mandorla series, she creates participatory works inspired by the ancient mandorla form. Each piece integrates crystals with intention. Her practice brings material and symbolic inquiry together—where beauty and presence converge.

Nitya holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and is held in private collections. She lives and works in San Diego, California.
